Credit Transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Credit Transfer is where units previously studied at another Registered Training Organisation or Education provider, are recognised and accepted as a completed unit.

For example, you may have completed the same unit of competency at another institution while undertaking another course; This will be recognised if the unit has the same title and unit code number. If a course title and code are not an exact match, a mapping process will be conducted to identify whether the unit requirements have been met.

Where Credit Transfer is being applied for, you must provide the unit, subject or competency information in the statement format and the original documents, including the qualification and related statements of attainment, must be produced.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), means you may be able to shorten the length of your course by measuring your skills acquired through, work or life experiences, or through qualifications obtained from formal studies or training.

To receive RPL, you must apply at the time of enrolment (via the RPL section of the application form). All RPL applications have a due date requirement. This date is approximately four weeks from you receiving the RPL application documentation and must be completed before the commencement of any training services.
