AAPoly Symposium on “Tourism Development Opportunities for Victoria towards 2030”

Academies Australasia Polytechnic was very happy to present our Symposium on “Tourism Development Opportunities for Victoria towards 2030,” which was held on 27 May 2019 at the Royal Melbourne Hotel. The half-day event was organised by our final year students studying Project and Event Management of the Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management programme.

Guests included our Board of Directors, Academic Board members, guest speakers from Tourism and Hospitality organisations, Senior Management staff, academics and our final year BTHM students.

The theme “Tourism Development Opportunities for Victoria towards 2030” offered our audience and final year students an awareness of the broad array of opportunities available in the Tourism and Hospitality sector into the next decade.

One of the primary objectives of this event was to equip our graduates with employability skills, such as project and event management, digital marketing design, and food and beverage presentation skills. This practical experience of organising a Tourism and Hospitality Event offered graduating students exposure to a real-life situation where they could put into practice ‘job ready’ skills that will service the expectations of the growing Tourism and Hospitality industry.

Congratulations to all involved; it was a great success!
